Day 1
Montevideo / Colonia del Sacramento
Arrival in Montevideo Airport and transfer to Colonia del Sacramento (Approx. 2:30 hrs) Rest of the day at leisure to explore the city.
Day 2
Colonia del Sacramento
Visit the picturesque streets of Colonia del Sacramento, the oldest city in the country (recently declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO).
Day 3
Colonia / Estancia Finca Piedra
Transfer to Estancia Finca Piedra. This is an ideal place that combines its natural beauty with the sight of horses and the huge rocky boulders which form an ocean of stones throughout the landscape. While riding with a friendly “gaucho”, you will learn about the agriculture of this 1000 hectare ranch, the history, culture and lifestyle of country living. At lunch time, enjoy traditional “parrillas” (barbeques) of the property’s best 100% natural meat selection, combined with excellent gastronomy and exclusive select vintage wines from their own vineyards.
Day 4
Estancia Finca Piedra
Enjoy a unique day performing typical tasks of field and enjoying homemade meals. Example of activities: Horseback riding, Bird Watching, Biking, Fishing, Cow Milking.
Day 5
Estancia Finca Piedra / Montevideo
Transfer to Montevideo. Tour the capital city and its monuments, parks and gardens. The main points of interest are, the Old City, Constitution Square, Cathedral and Colonial Town Hall, Solis Theatre and Independence Square. Later, your drive will take you to Residential area of Carrasco with a stop at Plaza Virgilio offering an excellent view of the city. Return along the coast and its beaches.
Day 6
Montevideo
Enjoy a tour to one of the country’s leading wineries where you will learn about the history of the vineyard and how wine is made. Enjoy tasting different wines, accompanied by a delicious “picada”.
Day 7
Montevideo / Punta del Este
Transfer to Punta del Este. Rest of the day at leisure to explore the city, its main street Gorlero and its beautiful promenade with its picturesque landscapes. Explore the local market and walk around the Port of Punta del Este.
Day 8
Punta del Este
Experience a scenic drive through the area’s most fashionable and impressive neighbourhoods. Pass through the residential areas of Cantegril, San Rafael, Parque Golf and La Barra de Maldonado, known for its unique hanging undulated bridges. Visit the Ralli Museum of Contemporary Art with its fine collection of paintings and sculptures by noted Latin American artists, including several Salvador Dalí. Your drive will then take you past some of Punta del Este’s beaches. Stop at Punta Ballena for sweeping panoramic views up and down the coast before ending your drive at Casapueblo, the home and atelier of internationally renowned artist, Carlos Páez Vilaró.
Day 9
Punta del Este / La Pedrera
Transfer to La Pedrera Rocha and rest of the day at leisure.
Day 10
La Pedrera
Day at leisure to enjoy the picturesque beach and visit the famous “Cabo Polonio”.
Day 11
La Pedrera / Montevideo Airport
Transfer from La Pedrera to Montevideo Airport for your return flight.
